Il nuovo logo del Carnevale di Follonica

The Carnevale di Follonica gets a new look: a logo celebrating history and the future

The Carnevale di Follonica is back to make people dream, and it does so with an important new feature: a completely redesigned logo that blends tradition and modernity. The central figure is Gigi del Golfo, the town’s historic symbolic mask, now reinterpreted in a contemporary style. Around him, the colours of the Rioni (districts) enrich the design, highlighting the strong bond between the event and the local communities.

A rebrand rooted in identity

The idea of creating a new logo came from the wish to make the Carnevale di Follonica an even more recognisable and attractive event, able to speak to both local and national audiences. The emblem keeps the essence of tradition, represented by Gigi del Golfo, but reworks it with modern, dynamic lines that look to the future.

«The new logo is the result of a balance between innovation and historical memory – said the president of the Associazione Carnevale –. It is a tribute to what we have been and a push towards what we can become».

Gigi del Golfo and the Rioni

Gigi del Golfo, a figure born in the 1950s and a symbol of the inclusiveness and liveliness of the Carnival, has been placed at the centre of the design. Around him, the crests and colours of Follonica’s Rioni underline the importance of collective participation and the work of the volunteers, who have always been the beating heart of the event.

Each colour represents a Rione and its uniqueness, creating a design that conveys unity in diversity, a theme close to the Carnival’s heart.

An ever more connected Carnival

The new logo is not the only new feature of this edition. The Associazione Carnevale has announced a boost to its digital communication, with a completely redesigned website and new social media content, including its debut on TikTok. This will help it reach a wider, younger audience, keeping the tradition alive through modern platforms.

Events and initiatives on the programme

Among the many initiatives announced, Carnival 2025 includes:
• Four main parades: 2, 9, 16 and 22 February, with the last one at sunset, followed by a fireworks show.
• Final party in the centre: on Sunday 23 February, the streets of the centre will become a stage full of music and entertainment.
• Discounts and partnerships: Carnival tickets will give access to museums, restaurants and attractions in the Maremma, encouraging tourism in the area.

The Carnival also continues to promote the art of papier-mâché through workshops for students, strengthening the bond between the new generations and this ancient tradition.

A symbol of inclusiveness

The new logo is more than a simple restyling: it is a symbol of inclusiveness that reflects the welcoming spirit of the Carnevale di Follonica. Just as Gigi del Golfo brought together “awkward characters” in the 1950s, today the Carnival wants to be a festival for everyone, a moment of unity and sharing.

All that remains is to mark the dates in your calendar and let yourself be won over by the infectious energy of the Carnevale di Follonica, which with its new look promises an unforgettable edition.
