Our criteria
A carnival is included in this guide if it meets at least one of these points, with an official source.
👶 Discounts for children
Free or reduced entry for young children, as stated by the organisers.
☀️ Daytime parades
Parades starting in the early afternoon, easy with children.
🚌 Easy to reach
Shuttles or a station close to the route.
🌧️ Bad-weather plan
Official rain date in case of bad weather.

Carnevale di Cento
📅 Sundays from 31 January to 28 February 2027
- Children under 1.20 m: free entry; from 1.21 m up to 14 years: €15
- Shuttle bookable from Bologna Centrale and Ferrara
- Sunday parades
Carnevale di Viareggio
📅 30 January to 20 February 2027
- Parades on Sundays and Shrove Tuesday at 3 pm
- Centrally located railway station

Carnevale di Follonica
📅 7 to 28 February 2027
